Nagpur: Milap Chand, a 1987 Direct Recruit Officer took over as Chief Regional Manager at Regional Office of The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. Prior to joining at Nagpur Regional Office, he served as Regional Manager at Raipur Regional Office of Company.
Born in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, Milap Chand has pursued his Master’s degree in Science (Agriculture) and is a Fellow Member of Insurance Institute of India. He has worked at Shimla, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and handled various Offices in different position as Branch Manager, Divisional Manager, Senior Divisional Manager prior to his promotion as Regional Manager in the year 2013. He is known for his Marketing skills in General Insurance Industry.
Apart from Vidharbha, Regional Office, Nagpur is controlling Offices at Aurangabad, Jalgaon and Dhule as well, with a premium of Rs.128 Crores which on joining of Milap Chand as Chief Regional Manager is looking ahead to procure maximum untapped rural insurance business estimating to Rs. 200 Crores.
