Nagpur News: A middle-aged died in an accident under MIDC Police Station jurisdiction on Friday. According to the complainant Parvati Vasantrao Ranjari (45), a speeding motorcyclist hit her husband Vasantrao Rangari (50) near HIngna Road, Tractor Company Square on Friday evening at around 7.30 pm. Vasantrao Govindrao Rangari, a resident of Plot No. 29, Pardhi Nagar, Hingna Road, was standing near a tree when a speeding Hero Honda Splendor hit Rangari. Fearing public wrath, the motorcyclist fled the spot. He was rushed to Lata Manesghkar Hospital but was declared dead after preliminary check-up.
On the basis of the complaint of Parvati Rangari, MIDC Police registered an offence under section 279 and 304 (a) of the IPC against the unknown motorcyclist.
