‘Mentally challenged’ man murdered in Pachpaoli, 3 arrested

Nagpur: A “mentally challenged” man, who used to hurl filthy abuses on passersby, was murdered in the early Sunday morning in Pachpaoli area. The identity of the deceased man has not been ascertained as yet. Cops have arrested three persons including a juvenile, for their alleged role in the murder.

According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Tularam alias Lalla Madan Dharmik (21), a resident of Thakkargram, Pachpaoli; Chandrashekhar alias Chandu Ruprao Bhisikar (25), a resident of Tandapeth, Pachpaoli and a juvenile. The murder came to light on Sunday morning when a passerby spotted the body riddled with stab injuries.

After registering a case of murder, cops scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. On the basis of footage, role of three persons in the murder was suspected. After identifying the accused, the police arrested them. During the interrogation, accused trio reportedly confessed killing the man as he was using filthy language.

The arrests were made by Police Inspector Narendra Hiware, API Sanjay Kedare, PSI PR Ingale, AR Gangakachur, ASI Sudesh Chauhan, Head Constables Sanjay Wankhede, Vinayak Ingale, Raj Choudhary, Ajay Kute, Abhay Sakhre, Sariputra Fulzele, Aviraj Bhagwat under the guidance of DCP Zone 3 Rahul Maknikar and ACP (Lakadganj) Reena Janbandhu.
