Nagpur: Cracking down on sand mafia, Mauda Tehsildar on Sunday night, seized two trucks involved in smuggling of sand. The two trucks are primarily appear to link to BJP MLA Tekchand Sawarkar’s son, sources said. The two trucks have been confiscated at Mauda Tehsil.
According to sources, in a bid to curb the menace of sand smuggling the Mauda Tehsilar had conducted a series of action. Under the same, a drive was initiated on Sunday night.
During which two trucks smuggling sand were intercepted by Mauda Police and Tehsildar. On further investigating, the role of MLA Tekchand Sawarkar’s son has came to fore.
