Nagpur: With polling for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) general elections for 2025-26 scheduled on January 15, the State Election Commission has made the voting process easier for citizens by introducing the ‘Matadhikar’ mobile application. The app aims to help voters quickly locate their names in the electoral roll, identify their polling stations and booth numbers, and access candidate-related information.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation administration has appealed to voters to make maximum use of this facility to avoid last-minute confusion on polling day. The Matadhikar app is available for download on the Google Play Store.
How to use the Matadhikar app
The app provides two options for voters to search their names in the electoral roll. Voters can either enter their full name or their Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number. After selecting the district and the municipal corporation, the voter’s details will be displayed on the screen.
Through the same app, voters can also obtain information such as their part (section) number, Assembly constituency number, name of the polling centre, and the room number where they are required to cast their vote.
In addition to the mobile app, voters can also search for their names in the electoral roll through the official website mahasecvoterlist.in. By clicking on the ‘Search Name in Voter List’ option, voters can find their details by entering either their name or EPIC number, similar to the process on the app.
The civic administration has once again urged voters to use the Matadhikar app and the online portal to ensure a smooth and hassle-free voting experience during the upcoming NMC elections.
