Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to see his first solo release ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’ hit the screens this August 21. Nawad has played the lead character of Dashrath Manjhi in this biopic directed by Ketan Mehta. The movie is based on the real life story of Dashrath Manjhi who carved out road by manually cutting through the hillock.
Recently, the movie was leaked online even before it could make it to the theatres, following which the makers are anticipating the commercial loss.
Nawaz was however miffed over the movie spilled over webspace but still he exuded confidence of offering something new to the audience coming to watch it in theatres.
Nawaz said, “The film leaked because it was being desperately awaited by the nation and I am sure those who wanted to pay their tributes to Dashrath Manjhi will certainly turn up at the theatres.”
He defended that this is such a classy film that it could not be gauged on laptops. “It can only be enjoyed on big screen”, he added.
Superb Biopic
The actor, who won accolodes for his roles in Gangs of Wasseypur, Talaash, Kick and more recently Bajrangi Bhaijaan, now single-handedly owns the responsibility of this film. Terming the movie as the best biopic ever made in the history of Indian Cinema, he quipped, “This is also the best film of my career this far.” He also said that this movie will also show his real box office value.
No Insecurity at all
When asked that at a time when his career has reached at such a successful level, aren’t he fear about the downful, he merrily replied, “As they those only those are fearful who had never tasted failure, I am here after meeting series of failures. If I have to face that again, it makes little difference.”
