    Mangalsutra of a woman snatched


    Nagpur: Under the jurisdiction of Sonegaon police station, when a 65-year old woman was returning home at about 8.45 pm on Monday from Mahalaxmi Mandir after attending ‘pravachan’, some chain-snatcher snatched her Mangalsutra of gold and fled the spot. It’s value is said to be worth Rs 23,000.

    According to police, Jyoti Anant Bhalerao, resident of Tapovan Complex, Jaiprakash Nagar, attended ‘pravachan’ at Mahalaxmi Mandir in her locality and was returning home on foot at about 8.45 pm. Meanwhile an unidentified chain-snatcher, riding a black colour bike, came near her and slapping her, he snatched her Mangalsutra of gold and fled the spot. The victim woman filed a complaint with Sonegaon police station. The police is investigating the case.
