Man stoned to death in Hazari Pahad area

Nagpur: A 29-year old man murdered a middle aged man by smashing his face and head with heavy stones in Hazari Pahad area of the city on Monday. The reason behind the brutal murder could not be ascertained as the accused has not been arrested, yet.

According to police, the deceased Ratan Mahadeo Tadas (48), resident of Plot No. 140, near Anuj Flour Mill, Adarsh Nagar, Nagpur was accosted by the accused Ashish Raju Uike (29), resident of Makardhokda, Katol Road, Nagpur at a vacant ground near Corporation School in Hazari Pahad area between 8 am and 10 am on Monday. After a reported hot exchange of words, the accused Ashish Uike attacked Ratan Tadas at a half constructed building and smashed his face and head with heavy stones and fled the spot. Nearby residents rushed Ratan Tadas to Mayo Hospital but doctors there declared him brought dead.

Gittikhadan Senior PSI Bawankar, based on a complaint lodged by Urmila Ratan Tadas (48), has booked the accused Ashish Uike under Section 302 of the IPC and searching for him.
