Nagpur: A 40-year old man brutally murdered his wife by smashing her head with a tava (pan) over domestic dispute and also suspecting her character. The murder took place in Ambazari police jurisdiction at midnight of Saturday. The accused husband has been arrested.
The accused Devidas alias Deva Bapurao Rambhaji (40), is native of Chandrapur, near Kali Mata Mandir but presently staying as tenant in Kamalesh Bombilwar’s house at Plot No. 147, NIT Layout, Jainagar, Ambazari.
On the midnight of Saturday, a quarrel erupted between the accused Devidas and his wife Bhavna Deva Rambhaji alias Dhurve over some domestic issue. The accused was also suspecting Bhavna’s character. In the rage, Devidas smashed Bhavna’s head with a tava and killed her instantaneously.
Ambazari API Ghotke, based on a complaint lodged by Kamalesh Rajendra Bombilwar (34), booked the accused Devidas Rambhaji under Section 302 of the IPC and arrested him. Further investigation is going on.
