Nagpur:
Playing the role of an elder brother and intervening in a quarrel cost a young man his life. The deceased named Akshay Bhoyar was done to death by some unidentified youths who had a running feud with his younger cousin brother.

The Barsenagar resident Akshay Bhoyar (23) was a class 12 student in a private school. His father had died a few years ago. Mother works as a labourer. Akshay’s younger cousin brother Shanky Bhoyar had a running feud with some youths of the same area. Playing the role of elder brother, Akshay decided to intervene and bring peace among the fighting Shanky and the youths. Around 11 am on Thursday, Akshay approached the youths near Dadra Bridge in Timki coming under Tehsil Police Station and tried to prevail upon them in order to end the fighting.

However, the destiny had other plans. The youths, instead of listening to the brotherly words of Akshay, assaulted him brutally and killed him on the spot. Upon being informed, a team of Tehsil police reached the spot and after completing preliminary probe sent Akshay’s body to Mayo Hospital for autopsy.

Tehsil police registered a murder case and launched a thorough investigation. Unconfirmed report says some of the accused have been arrested.

Details are awaited.
