Nagpur: A drunken brawl turned deadly for 33-year-old Dhawal Pandurang Natkar, who was bludgeoned to death by an intoxicated acquaintance in the Hudkeshwar area late Friday night.
Police have arrested the suspect, Ankush Ganesh Gakhare (33), a resident of Saubhagya Nagar, Hudkeshwar.

According to police sources, Dhawal had been visiting his brother-in-law Sarang Ramkrishna Randive (36) for dinner. On his way back, he encountered Ankush, with whom he had an argument. During the confrontation, Dhawal reportedly insulted Ankush, provoking Ankush to pick up a concrete stone and strike Dhawal on the head. Dhawal died instantly from his injuries.
Following the incident, Sarang filed a police complaint with the Hudkeshwar Police. Acting quickly, officers apprehended Ankush.
The suspect has been charged under Section 302 of the IPC, and further investigation is underway.
