Nagpur: In a hit-and-run case, an unidentified auto knocked a moped rider dead near Medical College on Sunday morning.
The victim, Premanand Bansod, was proceeding towards Medical College Square from Tukdoji Statue Square around 9 am on Sunday. Premanand was riding a Scooty Pep moped (MH-DU/ 9029). When he reached near a church midway, the unidentified auto hit the moped forcefully and speeded away. The impact left Premanand with critical injuries and he died on the spot even though the accident occurred a few meters away from GMCH.
