Nagpur: A middle-aged man lost his life when the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by a bike in front of Super Speciality Hospital near Tukdoji Statue in Ajni police area on Sunday afternoon. The accused bike rider has reportedly been arrested.
The deceased, Rajendra Mohanlal Jaiswal (52), resident of Narmada Building 354/A, Hanuman Nagar, was going on his two-wheeler (MH-40/Q 4538) around 3.15 pm on Sunday. In front of Super Speciality Hospital, a rashly driven Honda Passion bike (MH-40/C 7934) rammed Jaiswal’s two-wheeler with great force. He fell on the road and suffered fatal injuries. He was taken to GMCH but doctors declared him dead during treatment.
Ajni API Lamture, based on a complaint lodged by Aniket Rajendra Jaiswal, booked the bike rider Salman Salim Sheikh (31), resident of 16, Teachers’ Quarters, RTMNU, Ambazari Road, under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC read with Sections 184, 15(2)(9), 177 of Motor Vehicles Act. He has reportedly been arrested. Further probe is underway.
