bulgaryNagpur: Keeping the door of house open proved costly for a middle-aged man as he was relieved of cash totaling Rs 1.50 lakh kept at different places. The victim Sharad Vithoba Chandori (55), resident of Plot No. 121, Om Nagar, Ajni area, had “cleverly” kept Rs 1.20 lakh, meant for paying Stamp Duty, under his bed, Rs 20,000 in pant pocket and Rs 10,000 in table drawer in order to prevent theft of the booty.

However, Sharad made a serious mistake by keeping the door of house open. An unidentified burglar, taking advantage of the open door, entered Sharad’s house and laid his hands on the cash totaling Rs 1.50 lakh by ‘searching’ the precise three places.  The theft occurred sometime on Wednesday (June 8) when Sharad was busy in the other chores.

Ajni Woman PSI Choudhary, based on a complaint of Sharad Chandori, has booked the unidentified burglar under Section 380 of IPC and searching for him.
