Man held for raping job-seeking woman

Nagpur: HUDKESHWAR Police apprehended a 42-year-old man, Roshan Tulsiram Meshram, on Monday, on charges of raping a young woman under the guise of offering her employment.

The accused, a resident of village Sakha, taluka Kuhi, approached the 28-year-old woman around 2 pm on March 3 while she was waiting at Sarvashree Nagar Bus Stop. Meshram claimed to be a supervisor at a reputable organization and provided his cell number, promising her a job opportunity within his company. After verifying his identity through the Truecaller App, the woman, in dire need of employment, agreed to meet him the following day.

Meshram met the woman at the bus stop as planned and transported her on his two-wheeler to an isolated location along Hudkeshwar Outer Ring Road, where he allegedly raped her.

Upon the victim’s complaint, police swiftly registered a case under Sections 376 (2)(n), 377, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code against Meshram.”
