Hudkeshwar police arrested a middle-aged man for sending objectionable messages to a deaf and dumb girl. Police identified the accused as Babarao Wamanrao Wanjari (35), a resident of Wadi.
Sources said, On Monday, the 21-year-old victim was travelling through a star bus in Hudkeshwar area at around 4.30 pm. The accused Babarao knowingly tried to touch her on the pretext of bad roads. The accused then sent indecent messages on the victim’s cell phone. When the victim did not respond to his messages, the accused started following her.
Annoyed with his behaviour, the victim narrated the incidence to her parents after reaching home. Her parents lodged a complaint with Hudkeshwar police station. Acting on a tip off, cops immediately arrested the accused Babarao and slapped charges under Sections 354, 354 (d) of the IPC.
