Nagpur: In an incident that sparked sensation in Sitabuldi area, a man reportedly committed suicide outside a closed shop beneath Sanskruti Bhavan near busy Jhansi Rani Square on Saturday morning.

On being informed, a team of Sitabuldi police rushed to the spot and started investigation after sending body to GMCH for autopsy.

According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as Ratnarakshit Tikaram Tirpude, native of a village near Bhandara. It is learnt that daughter of the deceased was admitted in a hospital in city.

Ratnarakshit and his wife were staying in the hospital. He was reportedly under tremendous tension because of which he was disturbed mentally. He was treated a few years ago.
