Man booked for asking ‘hafta’

Nagpur: A case has been registered against one Raju Gajbhiye for demanding ‘hafta’ from a transporter.

According to police source, One Nandu Parkhande, 42, resident of Kukade layout was standing near Mokshadham on 24 Jan when the accused Raju Gajbhiye, 32, resident of Rambagh came there and demanded a ‘hafta’ of Rs one lakh. Raju threatened to kill him that if he did not give ‘hafta’. Nandu immediately lodged a complaint with Ganeshpeth police station. Police have registered a case against Raju Gajbhiye.
