Nagpur: A 30-year-old man attacked a youth with a knife and attempted to kill him over money in Wadi police area here on Sunday night. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
A resident of House No. 256, Ambedkar Nagar, Ramabai Square, Prakash Baburao Mendhe (44), told police that his nephew Rajat Manraj Tut (26) had taken money from accused Rajesh Gopal Mahad (30), resident of Qtr No. 1, New MHADA Colony, Davlameti, on credit.
On Sunday, around 7.30 pm, the accused Rajesh accosted Rajat near a godown in Ambedkar Nagar and demanded his money back. Even before Rajat could respond, the accused Rajesh attacked and stabbed him with a knife inflicting injuries on his chest and thigh with the intention to kill him.
Wadi API Fulzele, based on the complaint of Prakash Mendhe, booked the accused Rajesh Mahad under Sections 307, 504, 506 of the IPC and probing the matter further. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
