Nagpur: A man was attacked murderously by another man over theft of money. The incident took place in Old Kamptee area on Monday afternoon. No arrest has been made in the case.
The victim, Prashant Jairam Javade (36), resident of Old Khalasi Line, Kamptee, was going to Nagpur around 3 pm on Monday. Midway near Nagsen Nagar Garden, the accused Sunil Dashrath Meshram (35) of the same area accosted him and picked up a quarrel accusing Prashant of stealing his money. As the wordy duel was going on, the accused Sunil Meshram, in a fit of anger, attacked Prashant with a spear and stabbed him on his chest, head, back and hands with the intention of killing him. After the attack, the accused fled the spot assuming Prashant dead. The profusely bleeding Prashant was rushed to a hospital where he gave a statement to police.
