Man arrested with deer skin in Jaripatka

Nagpur: Jaripatka Police on Thursday arrested a 25-year-old man Devendra Janbandhu for possessing deer skin.

A team of cops on patrol duty got a tip off that Devendra was loitering near Nara Ghat Gate around 12 noon on Thursday. The cops detained him on suspicion and frisked him. The frisking led to recovery of deer skin carefully hidden in a cloth bag. On being asked as to where from he brought the deer skin, the accused Devendra Janbandhu tried to mislead the cops. The deer skin was seized by the cops and later informed the office of Forest Range Officer, Seminary Hills.

A team of Forest Department reached the spot and after completion of paper formalities, took custody of the accused Devendra Janbandhu for further interrogation. The deer skin was also handed over to them. The accused Devendra Janbandhu, resident of Ved Nagar, Nara Road, was arrested under Sections of Wildlife Protection Act.

The team of cops included police constables Gajendrasingh Thakur, Bandu Kalambe, NPCs Roshan Tiwari, and Vishal Nagbhide.
