Nagpur: A young man was arrested by Jaripatka police on the charges of raping a 12-year old girl. The accused also threatened the minor victim to kill her family members if she narrated the incident to anybody.
The accused, Manish Naresh Limbade (24), residing in Jaripatka police jurisdiction, befriended the neighbouring 12-year old girl and used to talk to her on phone. On April 24 night, the accused Manish called the girl to his house and raped her. The accused also doled out a threat to the victim that her family members would be killed if she opened her mouth about her sexual exploitation. However, the girl gathered courage and narrated the incident to her parents who lodged a complaint in this regard.
Jaripatka ASI Sanap, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Manish Limbade under Sections 376(2)(1), 376(2)(N) of the IOPC read with Sections 4, 6 of POCSO Act and placed him under arrest. Further probe is underway.
