Nagpur: On Thursday, Aroli Police apprehended Vijay Suresh Gurnule, a resident of Kodamendhi, for the purported murder of his wife, following a domestic dispute. The incident unfolded when Umesh Jagan Shende, also from Kodamendhi, received distressing news around 8 am that his sister, Heera, had passed away.
Upon arriving at her residence, Shende discovered his sister’s lifeless body. Inquiries led him to his niece, Kalyani, who revealed that her father had fatally struck her mother with a stick.
Promptly, Shende lodged a formal complaint against Vijay, prompting Aroli Police to arrest him under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to charges of murder.
