Nagpur: In another major road mishap, three persons were killed on the spot as a Private Travels’ Bus rammed into a tree on July 8, 2016.
According to sources, early in the morning a Private Travels’ Bus rammed into a tree near Takalghat. Three passengers died on the spot, while eight others were grievously injured in the mishap.
Immediately after the mishap, the injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital. Immediately on receipt of information, the In-Charge of MIDC Bori Police Station PI Manish Divte rushed to the spot along with his staff.
According to police sources, early in the morning due to heavy rains a Private Travels’ Bus bearing RTO Registration No MH-32 B/ 4231 rammed into a road-side tree. Since the impact of the bus ramming into a road-side tree was severe, three passengers died on the spot. Till the time of filing the story, the names of the deceased passengers and the injured passengers could not be ascertained.
After the road mishap, the traffic on this road was affected. The In-Charge of MIDC Bori Police Station PI Manish Divte rushed to the spot and got the traffic regularized and smooth once again.
The In-Charge of MIDC Bori Police Station PI Manish Divte said that there were approximately 40-45 passengers traveling in the bus. As soon as the bus reached Takalghat, in all possibility, due to heavy rains and low visibility, the driver could not see the road ahead and rammed into a road-side tree. So severe was the impact of the bus ramming into the tree that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled. One massive tree was shaken out right from its roots.
Immediately after the mishap, the residents of nearby area informed the police control room. The on-lookers also helped the passengers to exit from the bus. The MIDC Bori Police is investigating the case.
