Nagpur: The police often releases advertisement and warn people from employing servant women or maids without verifying the antecedents. Yet many people employ servants and maids without performing investigation their previous employment checking or their antecedents.
The maid had allegedly committed the theft occurred between May 24 to 25, 2015. According to police sources, the victim named Akshay Rajesh Thakur aged 27 and a resident of Krishnakunj Apartments, Khare Town had lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi Police Station the previous maid had sent a young girl to work in his house. Hardly one day had passed since she was appointed when the maid had stolen gold ornaments worth Rupees two lakhs sixty seven thousand (Rs. 2, 67,000) from his house. The wife of the complainant alleged that the maid had stolen the gold ornaments from the almirah.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim Akshay, the Sitabuldi Police has registered a case against the maid servant and is investigating into the matter.
