Nagpur: Giving prompt response to the statewide bandh called upon by the Maratha community, many schools, colleges and similar other institutes in Nagpur have declared holiday on Thursday.
The Marathas have called for Maharashtra bandh today in order to press their long pending demand for reservation in education and jobs.
The authorities of many private CBSE schools have decided to keep their schools shut in order to avoid any eventuality. The parents were sent out SMS on Wednesday evening while few other schools chose to make the note of holiday in the school diaries.
This has been the second time since the commencement of new educational session that the schools have declared holiday on bandh call.
