Nagpur: A lovelorn man brutally murdered a woman and injured her husband seriously in MIDC area in the wee hours of Monday. The accused killer went absconding and is subject of massive hunt by cops.

The deceased, Gitishwari (20), native of Balaghat district (MP) but presently staying at Babre’s under-construction house in Date Layout, Jaitala, was married to Chandrakumar Kishore Madavi (24) three years ago at their native place. After marriage the couple came to Nagpur for work. However, Gitishwari, angry over improper medical treatment of abortion, left Chandrakumar and returned to her parents’ house and started working independently. At the work, she came in contact with the accused Sachin Kishore Pendur (25), native of Hinganghat tehsil, Wardha district, as his brother Prem was working with Gitishwari. Love blossomed between Gitishwari and Sachin. In December 2017, Sachin took her to an undisclosed destination and both stayed there for 3-4 months. But as the accused Sachin Pendur started torturing Gitishwari, her father took her to his house four days back. Moreover, in order to avoid the accused Sachin coming in contact with his daughter again, the father called her husband Chandrakumar back and sent her with him. This action of Gitishwari’s father left the accused Sachin furious and he had threatened to kill her and other members of family.

The lovelorn accused stuck to his threat. Between 2.30 am and 3 am of Monday, the accused Sachin crashed at the under-construction house of Babre in Date Layout in Jaitala and attacked the sleeping Gitishwari and Chandrakumar with a crowbar. The accused hit the crowbar on Gitishwari’s head hard and killed her on the spot. He also attacked Chandrakumar and injured him seriously with the intention of eliminating him. The accused killed Gitishwari so that she would not return to the accused Sachin Pendur.

After finishing his job, the accused Sachin Pendur fled the spot and reportedly gone absconding.

MIDC Woman PSI J V Gire, based on a complaint lodged by Sangeeta Khemlal Parte (33), booked the accused Sachin Pendur under Sections 302, 307, 506(B) of the IPC and hunting him.
