The golden kela awardThe Golden Kela Awards have landed right here, and aapla Nagpur along with whole bunch of movie buffs are anxious to know who got the big Golden Kela for their worst performances this year! So check out this list of the bad, the worse and the worst.

1. Worst Actor (Male)
Arjun Kapoor for Tevar
The film has a 4.1 rating on IMDb and a 25% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The only thing daddy Boney Kapoor’s production did for Arjun Kapoor was get him a nomination for the Golden Kela.

Arjun Rampal for Roy
The songs worked, the film just didn’t. Even though it had Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez as well.

Sooraj Pancholi for Hero
Oh, the irony! Sooraj Pancholi might’ve gotten the Filmfare award for best male debut for Hero, but whom are we kidding! This is where he belongs.

Imran Khan for Katti Batti
Imran Khan’s performance in 500 Days Of Summer Katti Batti might not have earned him any accolades, but hey, it did win him a nomination on this (not so)prestigious list.

All the male actors in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2
While the first one was a sleeper hit, this one was just a sleeper.
2. Worst Actor (Female)
Sonakshi Sinha for Tevar
While Sonakshi shone in Lootera, her tevars in Tevar weren’t appreciated at all.

Sonam Kapoor for Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo
Sonam Kapoor plays a rich princess who does a ‘lot of good deeds’ and who’s looking for her Prince Charming with whom she can do some ‘more good deeds’. (No puns intended)

Shraddha Kapoor for ABCD 2
The film might’ve danced all the way to the box-office but all poor Shraddha got was a nomination for the Golden Kela.

The entire female cast of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon
Kapil Sharma might’ve become the king of small screen, but his film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon got no pyaar from the aam junta.

The entire female cast of Calendar Girls
From Chandini Bar to Calendar Girls, Madhur Bhandarkar seems to have gone the Ram Gopal Varma way. As proved by this nomination.

Amy Jackson for Singh is Bliing
Amy Jackson has been going through tough times on the professional front. First it was the very forgetful Ekk Deewana Tha, and then there was Singh is Bliing. She should’ve gotten the drift hearing that title itself.

3. Worst Film
Dilwale
Even though the film was panned by the critics left, right and centre, Dilwale earned a lot of money. Because SRK-Kajol. Also, dimaag toh sabke paas hota hai, magar sab, Dilwale nahin avoid karte.

Bombay Velvet
Watching this one tank was just painful. We had such high expectations from this one. And yet, Anurag Kashyap’s magnum opus sank without a trace. Shame!

Shaandaar
Apart from the title, nothing was shaandaar about this one.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Prem Ratan might’ve payo a lot of dhan at the box-office, but thanks to its over the top sweetness and sanskars, it also payo a nomination for this award.

Singh is Bliing
While the first one was a thoroughly enjoyable affair, the second one was a drab fest. Thanks to director Prabhu Deva, this Singh had no Bliing.

4. Worst Director
Rohit Shetty for Dilwale
The story flew away with the cars in this one.

Sooraj Barjatya for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
We get it Mr. Barjatya. You’re sanskari as hell heaven. But please. Move on.

Prabhu Deva for Singh Is Bliing
Deva re Deva! Yeh kya bana diya?

Madhur Bhandarkar for Calendar Girls
There was a time when Madhur Bhandarkar was synonymous with good cinema. And then, Heroine and Calendar Girls happened. We just hope he gets his mojo back real soon.

Nikhil Advani for Katti Batti and Hero.
There was a time when Nikhil Advani had made Kal Ho Na Ho. But again, there WAS a time. Now he’s stuck with Katti Batti and Hero. Tch tch tch!

Remember folks, koi bhi award chota ya bada nahin hota. Enjoy!
