Nagpur: India’s Electoral Commission Announces 7-Phase Election Schedule with Vote Count Set for June 4th
According to the schedule released by the Electoral Commission, the election will unfold in the following phases:
Phase 1: April 19th (Notably, Nagpur is slated to cast its votes during this phase)
Phase 2: April 26th
Phase 3: May 7th
Phase 4: May 13th
Phase 5: May 20th
Phase 6: May 25th
Phase 7: June 1st
In Maharashtra, voting will take place on the following dates:
First phase – April 19 – Ramtek, Nagpur, Bhandara-Gondiya, Gadchiroli-Chimur, Chandrapur
Second phase – April 26 – Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Yavatmal-Washim, Hingoli, Nanded, Parbhani
Third phase – May 7 – Raigad, Baramati, Osmanabad, Latur, Solapur, Madha, Sangli, Satara, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Hatkanangale
Fourth phase – May 13 – Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi, Beed
Fifth phase – May 20 – Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Thane, and six constituencies in Mumbai.
