Nagpur: As the first phase of Lok Sabha elections kicked off on Friday, zeal and enthusiasm were evident among all the voters in Nagpur.
In Nagpur division comprising Ramtek, Nagpur, Bhandara-Gondia, Gadchiroli-Chimur, and Chandrapur, around 6.98% voting was recorded by 9 AM.

Ramtek recorded 5.82% voting, Nagpur recorded 8.41% voting, Bhandara-Gondia recorded 7.22%, Gadchiroli-Chimur recorded 8.43%, and Chandrapur recorded 7.44% voting.
The scorching heat in Nagpur failed to deter voters as they turned out in large numbers in the morning hours. Despite the high temperatures, voters displayed a strong commitment to exercise their democratic right, showcasing the significance of the electoral process in the region.
