Leopard in Seminary Hills dies.

The blind and caged leopard in Seminary Hills died on Friday at around 8.30 pm of old age. The leopard was kept in front of the deer park for the last 12 years. Forest workers of the deer park found the cat dead on Saturday morning. Post mortem was conducted at Veterinary College and it was case of natural death. The leopard was brought from Chandrapur to Maharajbag on 20th Aug 2001 for treatment after it was shot by poachers seriously injuring the then 5 yr old. After treatment it was brought to Seminary Hills and since then it was leading a miserable life in captivity. Veterinarians had conducted an operation then and removed 35 pellets from its body. The pellets also had damaged its eyes. The mortal remains of the majestic beast was consigned to flames in the deer park.
