Nagpur News.

Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Shri Shyam Wardhane and DyMC Shri Pramod Bhusari, a team lead by LBT Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha along with LBT Officers Yadav Jambhulkar, Nandu Bhowate, and LBT Inspector Sumer Gajbhiye, Chahande, , Binekar, Dhumal, Vanikar, Ambhore , Borkar, Hood and drivers Shinde, Naidu and Pande made a search at 2 places viz. Shree Sales, a dealer in kitchen & ancillary hardware items and Millennium Motors, a dealer in car assessors in Bagadganj area.

The dealer Shree Sales is dealer in hardware items related to kitchen trolleys, latches, locks, mirrors and such other products in Bagadganj, above Sub Post Office, Bagadganj in a rented premises of Shri Gupta. The said dealer had made purchases from outside Nagpur and liable for LBT registration and payment. However the dealer has not yet registered under LBT and obviously no LBT payment are yet made. No Purchase register is maintained. The inventory is taken and the record of purchase and sale is being called to fix the LBT liability including penalty.

In another case a dealer M/s Millennium Motors, though registered has not disclosed his godown in a rented premises of Shri Purjewar in Bagadganj. As the dealer had not disclosed one of his godowns, and made nominal LBT payments,  (Rs 6700/-), the stock of inventory is taken to check the actual liability of LBT. No Purchase register has been maintained by the dealer.
In addition, LBT team also found 2 additional godowns of Faisal Car Decor which were not disclosed earlier on 31-12-13 during search and enquiry. The details of inventory is taken to fix up the liability of LBT as per rules.  The LBT team also continued taking pending inventory of stock at Pathak General Stores.

Repeatedly, it is being observed that many dealers are not issuing sale bills to their customers, as required in Rule 22. Further, all the purchases are not being shown in the purchase register and lot of goods are being brought in through some kutchha or cash transaction and such purchase records are not being disclosed. Many dealer who are genuinely paying LBT are suffering from LBT evaders  as unhealthy competition is created in the market due due such evaders, as such dealers are selling the products at lesser price, thereby causing loss to guanine dealers as well as Corporation.
