Nagpur: A lady teacher was killed after her moped collided with a car in Manewada area of Ajni Police Station in Nagpur.
The deceased, identified as Faizia Afrin Abdul Rubeel (30), a resident of Gandhibagh, met with the fatal accident while returning home from Podar School on March 27. Faizia was riding a moped (MH-49/CB0074) when the collision occurred. Sustaining severe injuries from the impact, Faizia was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries on April 2. The driver of the car fled the scene after the accident.
Ajni police have registered a case under the provisions of Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicle Act.
