Nagpur: The complainant identified as Devendra Shende has accused a labourer of stealing gold ornaments. Shende alleged that the accused labourer Rahul Thakre has stolen Rs 5000/- from Devendra Shende’s sister’s purse on an earlier occasion too.

According to police sources, the complainant Devendra Shende a resident of Sidheshwar Nagar, Nandanwan has lodged a complaint saying that he was going to his native village on August 15, 2015 at around 10:30 am. When he was packing his goods, he noticed that the gold ornaments kept in the almirah were missing. The gold ornaments are said to cost Rs 6000/-. He expressed his doubt that the labourer Rahul Thakre must have stolen the gold ornaments since on an earlier occasion too the accused had stolen Rs 5000/- from his sister’s purse.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Devendra Shende, the Nandanwan Police has registered a case against the accused labourer Rahul Thakre under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and has initiated an investigation.
