Nagpur: Classical dance and music have the ability to impact people’s minds and souls. And when all the age groups come together to showcase the purest form of abhinaya, bhava and nritya, there is nothing but a feeling quite divine that the onlookers experience.

This is exactly what happened at the series of Kuchipudi dance performances organised at Sai Sabhagruha recently, where right from teenages girls to women in 40’s presented the classical tales through various refined versions of Kuchipudi.

Director of Indira Gandhi Open University, Dr Shiv Swaroop, who was present on the occasion, shared, “Such programmes give fillip to our ancient dance forms and motivation of common people goes a long way in giving wings to the performers. I’m really impressed with the way the tales from mythology have been narrated here.”

It was heartening to see all the dancers seeking their guru’s blessings, before and after the performances.
