Khasdar Karandak One-Act Play contest gets good response

Nagpur: The three-day Khasdar Karandak One-Act Play competition organised by Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav Samiti is getting good response from the audience. The plays depicting epic freedom struggle left a mark in the hearts and minds of the fans.

On Friday, eight one act plays were staged. Contributions of freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Swatantryaveer Savarkar, Usha Mehta and others were portrayed through these plays. The one act plays staged include Mrutyunjay, Suryasta Se Pehle, Krantiveer, Virasat, Tee-Tey, ‘Frequency’, ‘The Plan-Rand Wadh’ and Naragrani. On the concluding day, the One Act plays to be staged include Mazi Baju Maza Paksha, Zenda Ghya Ho Zenda, Aahuti, Samar Saudamini, Avataran, Anant Mee, August Se August Tak and Tiwal Ka Khauf.

The three-day Khasdar Karandak One-Act Play competition will conclude on October 30 at Scientific Society Hall. The prize distribution function will be held on October 31 at Suresh Bhat Auditorium, Reshimbagh at 5 pm. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest. Film Actor, Makrand Anaspure, actress Sukanya Kulkarni Mone and actor Devendra Dodke will be the guests. Earlier, Manjusha Patil and Anand Bhate will present Natya Sangeet.

Started from Thursday, at Scientific Society Hall, the Khasdar Karandak one-act play competition is receiving overwhelming response from the theatre lovers. Earlier, the competition was inaugurated at the hands of senior stage artist Ajit Diwadkar and noted neurosurgeon Dr Chandrashekhar Meshram. President of Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav Samiti, Prof Anil Sole; Secretary Jaiprakash Gupta; Treasurer Prof Rajesh Bagdi were the guests.
