Kerala student’s rape, murder: Cops make first arrest

Ernakulam: The police have identified and arrested the main suspect in the rape and murder of a Kerala law student, which had rocked the state in April.

According to local police, the woman, a 30-year-old law student, hailing from a poor family was raped and brutally assaulted using sharp edged weapons before being murdered at her house at Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district on April 28.
