Kawrapeth railway crossing Nagpur: Rs 96 cr sanctioned for RoB

Nagpur: A railway over bridge (RoB) is going to be constructed at Kawrapeth railway crossing. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, has sanctioned Rs 96 crore from Central Road Fund (CRF) for the same. Dr Milind Mane, MLA, North Nagpur assembly segment, recently undertook a visit to site where RoB is going to be constructed.

The RoB will connect Rajiv Nagar to Kawrapeth and currently due to railway gate citizens face inconvenience whenever a train has to pass through. The gate lies on a busy route and hence remains closed frequently and hence a RoB was necessary.

Officials from Public Works Department (PWD) including Executive Engineer Pohekar, SuDivisional Officer (SDO) Mrs Godbole, Section Engineer H P Rathod. Dilip Gaur, President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), North Nagpur segment, Sheshrao Gotmare, Rajumar Selokar, and Niranjana Patil, all corporators, were present on the occasion Dr Mane discussed the technical details about the project and thanked Gadkari for sanctioning the funds. Pandurang Nikalje, Akash Gawande, Ajay Dhoke, Abdul Bhai, Swapnil Kakde and others were also present.
