Over the years, Katrina Kaif has made a name for herself and become one of the most successful actresses in the entire Indian film industry. Having a career that spans over a period of almost two decades, she has acted in various films, most of them successes, and been described as ‘hardworking’ by her very own filmmakers and co-stars.

Now, in an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, ‘Merry Christmas’ director Sriram Raghavan and leads Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif gave some insights about their upcoming film. In the interview, the ‘Tiger 3’ actress was questioned about being labelled as ‘hardworking.’ Before saying how she felt about it, she threw a question for the women in the audience to describe themselves with adjectives, and whether hardworking is one of them. “Beautiful, charming, poetic, and like that, something more romantic. Hardworking! But yes I mean I think you have to be grateful for what you get so hardworking it is. Yes, sir, I am hardworking,” she hesitantly accepted the word.

On the same note, she went onto shockingly reveal what her ‘Bang Bang’ co-star Hrithik Roshan once said to her. “Hrithik told me once you have workers hards. I said ‘okay I have workers hand’ and I’m hardworking. I mean I don’t mind I’ll take it. I think there’s lot to be said for working hard and pursuing your dreams and achieving your dreams just by working really hard. Not everyone is going to be described as you know genius and brilliant and that’s okay. I’m alright.”

Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Merry Christmas’ stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead along with Radhika Apte, and Ashwini Kalsekar. While Sanjay Kapoor and Vinay Pathak appear in the Hindi version, Radhika Sarathkumar and Gayathrie appear in the Tamil version of the film.

This wild ride of a film was set to release this month, but now has been pushed for a release in theatres on January 12, 2024.
