Marathi and Gujarati theatre has a loyal and appreciative audience here in Nagpur that always looks forward to the ‘season’ when the theatre troupes commence their state tours from Mumbai and bring their plays here. This year, the wait is going to end with something grand and a sweet reward in the form of the Kalarang Utsav 2016!

Positioned as the first theatre festival in Nagpur, Kalarang Utsav at Deshpande Hall is a dream come true for theatre aficionados and this event brings together plays and performers lauded by not only the audience but also by awards. From 11 to 14 November, 2016 – the plays being performed are the following-

Karti Kaljat Ghusli (starring Prashant Damle and Tejashree Pradhan) – 13 Nov, 14 Nov
Sangeet Sanshaykallol (starring Prashant Damle and Rahul Deshpande) – 14 Nov
