Justice Surya Kant takes oath as the Chief Justice of India, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu administers the oath to him. He took over from Justice B.R. Gavai. Prior to his elevation, Kant was a Senior Advocate and also served as the Advocate General for Haryana.
