Junior engineer caught for bribery in Gadchiroli

Nagpur: A junior engineer, Akshay Manohar Agale (29), has been detained for demanding a bribe of Rs 1.7 lakh from a complainant in Gadchiroli district. The accused, who works with the Zilla Parishad Construction Sub Division in Dhanora, allegedly demanded the bribe for approving improved work at various locations.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed, but he did not accept the bribe due to suspicion. An investigation is underway, and a case will be registered at the Dhanora police station.
