Job seeking woman, friend duped of Rs 69,000 in MIDC

Nagpur: A job seeking woman and her friend were cheated by a con man to the tune of Rs 69,000 on the pretext of providing them jobs in Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services respectively. Further, when both the woman and her friend demanded their money back, the accused threatened to kill them. MIDC cops have registered a case but no arrest has been made in the matter as yet.

A resident of Bansi Nagar, near Metro Station, Sonali Ravikumar Gupta (27) told MIDC police that the accused Nilesh Nanotkar, native of Warud, Amravati district, ‘promised’ to provide her a job in Infosys company. Similarly, the accused Nilesh also lured Sonali’s friend Akash Narendra Bhishnurkar with a job in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). In return, the accused Nilesh Nanotkar took Rs 69,000 from them for the favour. However, no job was provided to Sonali and Akash nor their money returned by the accused. Further, when Sonali and Akash demanded their money back, the accused threatened to kill them.

MIDC Woman PSI Supriya Pundke booked the accused Nilesh Nanotkar under Sections 420, 506 of the IPC and probing the matter further. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
