In a shocking incident, a Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) female professor was raped by a student of the same university, reports said on Wednesday.
In her complaint, the woman told police that the student lived in a rented flat in Munirka and visited her often for guidance. She also told police that they got into a physical relationship during this time and he had promised to marry her after completing his course.
The accused started avoiding her for the past few days and even refused to marry her as he promised before making physical relationship.
Rape case has been filed in Vasant Kunj Police Station. Police called the accused for interrogation and arrested the 30-year-old accused.
