Nagpur: ITNext Magazine has recently felicitated Dr. Rizwan Ahmed as winner for “NEXT100 Future CIO” award. Dr. Rizwan received the award trophy and citation by hands of Mr. Mohit Pandey, Country Head (India), Google Cloudin a gala ceremony recently held at Hotel Taj Swarna, Amritsar on 1st December 2017. Over 5000Senior IT managers from throughout India applied for the NEXT100 2017 program and Dr. Rizwan was selected as one of the few winners during 8th Edition of NEXT100 Awards.
NEXT100 is an annual awards program instituted by IT NEXT magazine that honors and recognizes senior IT managers, and identifies potential for leadership positions who have the skills, talent and spirit to become CIOs. The awards process invites aspirants to self-nominate themselves for consideration and qualification for the award.All NEXT100 award applicants participate in an extensive series of activities that tests their techno-commercial, management and leadership skills. The final selection and nomination of the NEXT100 award recipients is made by a prestigious committee of technology and business leaders (the NEXT100 Jury) who do rigorous evaluation during interview ofapplicants on career accomplishments, professional expertise, skills and potential to be a CIO.Dr. Rizwan was interviewed by Mr. Ramesh Sharma, Group CIO, Adani Enterprises Ltd. and Mr. Rajiv Sharaf, Sr. VP and CIO, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. during the selection process who were the Jury members of NEXT100 awards.

He has over 16 years of professional experience in IT industry in various roles as innovative, hands-on technology executive with a proven track record of leading the design, development & program/project management of high technology projects and solutions, while continuously improving the processes and procedures. He also works as “Independent Consultant and Mobile Forensic Investigator” for various Private, Government and Law Enforcement Agencies in India and abroad. He is one of the first recipient of PhD in the field of mobile forensics in India.He has received many awards and accolades in past with most prominent being Microsoft’s “IT Technology Hero”, “Marquis Who’s Who in the World® 2016”, Multiple Best Research Paper Awards and many others.
