Nagpur: Nagpur’s MIHAN project has secured another investment opportunity in the medical technology sector, with Israel-based Adin Dental Implants Systems Ltd receiving approval to acquire 10 acres of land in the MIHAN Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for setting up a dental implant manufacturing facility.
The SEZ Board has cleared the land allotment for the proposed unit, marking a step towards expanding MIHAN’s industrial base beyond conventional manufacturing and strengthening its potential as a destination for advanced medical technology investments.
Adin Dental Implants Systems Ltd designs, develops and manufactures dental implant solutions and already has a presence in India. The proposed Nagpur facility is expected to deploy advanced manufacturing technology to produce premium-quality dental implants conforming to international standards, with products intended for global markets.
The project is expected to add momentum to MIHAN’s efforts to attract investment in specialised manufacturing and technology-driven industries. The proposed facility could also strengthen India’s medical technology ecosystem by expanding domestic manufacturing capabilities in a segment of the dental healthcare industry that serves both Indian and international markets.
For Vidarbha, the investment is expected to create fresh economic opportunities through industrial activity, employment generation and demand for skilled manpower. Local residents, particularly young people seeking opportunities in advanced manufacturing, could benefit from jobs and skill development associated with the facility. The actual scale of employment, however, will depend on the project’s implementation and operational requirements.
MIHAN, conceived as a major integrated infrastructure and industrial development project in Nagpur, combines a Special Economic Zone with an international cargo hub and supporting infrastructure. It has been positioned to attract export-oriented industries, logistics operations and investment across multiple sectors.
The proposed dental implant unit would add another specialised manufacturing segment to this industrial landscape. Such investments can help diversify MIHAN’s industrial profile, encourage technology transfer and create opportunities for ancillary businesses and local suppliers.
With the SEZ Board’s approval of the 10-acre land allotment, the project marks a further step in MIHAN’s investment pipeline. Its contribution to Nagpur’s industrial growth will depend on the subsequent development of the facility, the commencement of production and the extent of its employment and export operations.
