Nagpur: If the messages being circulated in social media network are to be believed, a Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim seems to be in the making in Nagpur city as well. A Baba named “Dawaiwala Baba” operating from a medical shop situated at Chhatrapati Square, opposite Kalpavruksha Hospital, Ring Road, is turning out to be talk of the town for his “vicious acts.” This “Dawaiwala Baba” aka Ajay Kukde reportedly churns out some medicines, gives them to gullible women and ‘provokes’ them to have physical relations with him.
In an instant case, a 30-year old woman, who was working in a gymnasium in Pratapnagar area, had complained to cops that an accused named Ajay Kukde, staying in her neighbourhood, had on August 4, hurled ‘sexual’ taunts at her and gestured filthily. Scared of the indecent acts of the accused Ajay Kukde, she left the job of the gymnasium.
However, after some days, she came to the gym for some work, the accused again indulged in vulgar act and words and thus outraged her modesty. This time she lodged a complaint against the accused with Pratapnagar police on August 29.
Pratapnagar ASI Gajanan Thakur, acting on the complaint of the victimised woman, booked the accused Ajay Kukde under Section 354(A) and reportedly arrested him. Within no time, messages started circulating in Facebook and other social media that the accused Ajay Kukde is the same “Dawaiwala Baba” who gives some medicines to gullible women and “provokes” them to have sexual relationship with him. The messages demand life imprisonment to such elements so that no such Babas dare to victimise women in future.
