An incident of manhandling a police head constable, who tried to intervene a wrangle between the two over a road accident, has come to fore. Kalmana police have registered a case against Sheikh Aziz Sheikh Sikandar, aged 30 years, resident of Chikhli Basti, Kalmana, on the complaint field by Sheikh Rafiq Sheikh Shafi, aged 40 years, resident of Desraj Nagar, Surendragarh Gittikhadan.
According to police, a rashly driven vehicle No. MH 31/ CQ 6084 hit Sheikh Rafiq Sheikh Shafi on June 23. The incident turned in a wrangle between the two. Sheikh Aziz (driver of rashly driven vehicle) then attacked Sheikh Rafiq with an iron pipe and injured him. Havildar Jayanta passing by noticed the incident and tried to intervene, but Sheikh Aziz manhandled him also. Further investigation is going on.
