Nagpur: The prize distribution ceremony of recently held Inter-School General Knowledge Contest was organised on Sunday. The General Knowledge Contest was organised by Kamptee-based Earth Foundation & Welfare Society in the auspices of Padmabhushan Dr Khalilullah Public Library, Kamptee on February 21, 2016. Around 280 school boys and girls had participated in the contest.
The prize distribution function was presided over by senior teacher of M M Rabbani High School Irfan Rashidi while chief guest was Mujibuddin Siddiqui of Indian Bureau of Mines. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Prashant Bele (Director of Liberty Classes), Bushra Qureshi (First Chartered Accountant of Kamptee) and other prominent citizens. The institute’s Vice President Shakeburrehman presented the report about the programme while Tanvir Raza welcomed the guests.
The organisation of the General Knowledge Contest was aimed at providing proper guidance to the students in their preparation for competitive exams being held for higher studies as well as government jobs. Those who worked hard for success of the programme include President of Earth Foundation Bilal Ahmed, Secretary Mujammil Jamal, members Asifa Anjum, Ashfaq Anjum, Shahbaz Ansari, M Sharif, Pervez Ahmed, Tanvir Ahmed and others. The students of M M Rabbani High School, S S Kallan Mia Ansari High School, Hajiyani Khatija Bai Girls School and Master Noor Mohammed High School participated in the programme.
