Nagpur: The Department of Physical Education and Sports of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University organised an Inter-Collegiate Rugby Competition for boys January 8 and for girls on January 10-11 at Dhanwate National College, Nagpur
On January 8, 2024, the rugby competition for boys was inaugurated by Dr O S Deshmukh, Principal Dhanwate National College Nagpur and the competition for girls was inaugurated on January 10 at 10.30 am by Dr Mahendra Dhore, Principal Shivaji Science College and Dr Swarnalata Warke.
Principal Dr. Mahendra Dhore inaugurated the tournament by breaking a coconut. While guiding the players, he said we did not have all these facilities but you are getting all the facilities. He wished success to the players who will participate in the All India tournament.
On the occasion of the inauguration, the principal of the college, Dr Swarnalata Warke wished the players success. Many college girls and boys participated in this rugby competition.
Dr. Vandana Ingle moderated the program and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Subhash Dadhe.
Dr. Devendra Wankhade, Dr. RY Deshmukh, Dr. Lalita Punia, Dr. Kamalakar Askar, Dr. Chetan Raut, Prof. Jayant Jichkar, Dr. Bhimrao Pawar Amar Bhandarkar, Nehal Dange, Yogita Barde and a large number of athletes were present on this occasion.
